Our Labor Day trip this year was to Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland. The falls were not roaring as we had hoped, but the sun was shining and it was a beautiful long weekend. The water was COLD. Must have been from all the rain the week before (which is why thought the falls would have been better). There were no new geocaches, but we repeated one from our last trip as an introduction for Katrina to the fun and excitement.

Our first trip of the year was Leanna's first camping trip. We went to Greenbrier State Park in Maryland. It started to rain as soon as we got there and we set up the camper in a light shower. Of course, as soon as everything was all up, the rain stopped. Both nights it rained, but things dried up quick during the day. Our site was full sun in the morning and not pleasant on a hot summer day packing up the gear.

Our labor day weekend camping trip this year was at Cunningham Falls State Park. The weather was perfect and the mode was great. This was the first trip after getting the popup fixed and they sure did do a fine job. They replaced the bumper, a broken stabilizer, both tires, and re caulked the roof, and did some other needed maintenance. We did not go to the falls this time, but I doubt there would've been much to see since there has been a lack of rain this year. The water level in the lake was real low and the deepest swimming part was less than 3 feet.

The Rocky Gap trip went on as planned and the biggest scare was when the car almost wouldn't start when were leaving to come back home. We had to put in a new battery when we got home. The popup didn't fall apart, but we did forget to put the stabilizers down the first night. You really can feel the difference when they are not down. We went to the Aviary to see the owls, did some geocaching, went in the lake, got some sun, and had a generally good time. On our way to the aviary, we saw a house on fire. One our way back to the campsite, all that was left was just a dirt patch on the ground.
The popup is getting repairs done at our mechanic's shop.

After coming back from a trip up north (mini vacation to MA, ME, and NH), we came home to the unpleasant surprise a damaged popup. It appears that someone decided to clip the front corner of our camper with their vehicle and send it off into another vehicle. One of the risks of on street parking. The front corner is damaged and so is the back bumper. The bumper need to be replaced along with the spare tire holder. The front end may just need some patch work. Hopefully, it won't cost too much when we bring it into the shop on the 30th. We had a trip planned for this weekend and after popping up and inspecting the internal damage, it is still usable. So Rocky Gap State Park, here we come.
